This lesson begins with Do Now task, asking student what they know about healthy eating, for AFL purposes. The lesson simply focuses on what healthy eating is and introduces how many calories per day. The lesson displays popular foods and the calorie intake. I have listed challenge questions for students to adapt meals, to encourage deeper thinking (this can be extended). The lesson contains a plenary, to find out what students now know about healthy eating. The lesson is in CIP to reinforce students understanding. This lesson has been created for students with SEND.

This planning is made for Year 12 & 13 SEN students. The planning and resources begin with bacteria and progress throughout the term, reinforcing why personal hygiene is important in everyday life. I have included all lesson resources, links to meaningful videos, games and PowerPoint’s.
Learning Objective and Success Criteria is created in each lesson delivery. All planning is differentiated as well as lessons can run over longer periods if required for student design and presentation. Planning is easy to adapt.
